Vintage fabric is swoon worthy.
So are pumpkins and fall.
Here's a simple DIY for these darling babies.
I know you will be able to do them.
YOU are a crafty mama.
I know you will be able to do them.
YOU are a crafty mama.
Cut a big round circle.
Now go get some thread and a needle. Make it a floss or nice sturdy thread, 'cause you are gonna be pulling on it quite a bit.
Do a simple stitch around the outside like you are making a fabric yo-yo.
This shouldn't take long. Just run the needle through, and when you pull it should gather...
Like this.
Stitch around the whole circle and pull to gather.

Dump in some beans to weight the bottom.
Add in stuffing.
Pull tight.
Sew around a bit more.
Let's call this the Ruffles for Dummies way.
I just fold the fabric over as I'm sewing a straight line and push the fabric through all bunched up.
The messier the better.
Find a twig. Cut one off a tree; whatever you need to do.
'Cause pumpkins NEED stems.
Like apples need caramel.
I do love caramel.

Hot glue them on, securing and hiding the hole for the stem.
I've been known to hot glue the ruffle to the stem to make sure it stays in place.

Finally, tie on some ribbon.
